About the Walk-A-Thon
The Detachment of New York SAL Walk-A-Thon is an annual fundraising event dedicated to supporting the 13 VA Medical Centers and 5 NYS Veterans homes in New York State. Participants walk and sell "boosters" to raise awareness and funds for vital veterans programs and services. This program is conducted in conjunction with The American Legion Auxiliary Department of New York and kicks off in the Spring of each year.
How to Participate
Squadrons and individual members are encouraged to organize and participate in Walk-A-Thon events in their communities. Contact your local squadron commander or the Detachment Walk-A-Thon Chairman for more information on how to get involved. Use the forms below. These forms will be updated prior to the new campaign.
